2nd Captain
Description
As Second Captain, you share responsibility for the vessel together with the Captain. The Captain remains ultimately responsible, but you act independently and coordinate important matters with him. In your role as a working foreman, you give clear instructions to the crew and ensure that operations run smoothly. You have thorough knowledge of the vessel and its cargo, work hygienically, are customer-oriented, and show initiative. In addition, you are able to work with onboard computer systems.
What do we expect of you?
- You are customer-friendly and a team player
- Knowledge of the Dutch, German and/or English language, both spoken and written
- In possession of a valid driving licence
- Organised, tidy, and hygienic
- Experienced with computers, including Word and Excel
Required qualifications
- Sailing License
- Radar patent
- Tanker experience
- Rhine Patent
- ADN Basic Certificate
